JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson partners with the Jackson Arts Council to showcase the Mayor’s masterpieces: Earth Day Children’s Art Gallery.
Mayor’s Masterpieces features art by Jackson and Madison County student artists.
Students from kindergarten to grade 8 displayed their most prized pieces in honor of Earth Day.
This year, Earth Day served as the theme for this fun and educational event.
Council leaders say what makes this event significant to the community is the potential that students showcase and inspire in others.
“They teach other artists about art and art imitating life, and I see that so much here. I mean the art is just amazing. The students are amazing,” said Andrew Boks, Chair of the Public Arts Commission.
The Earth Day Children’s Art Gallery will be on display inside City Hall for the next few weeks until May 2.
